Trash Kills Bears

And people from Ward kill people. Well, at least they let them know they will if they don't leave!

Having this guy in the house is sort of like having a bear.

The bears want to be in peoples houses, people want to be camping in the canyons, and the Wardos are driving around in pick ups shooting at things, yep, everything is just fine...

So Le 2007

Funny, when they let him in the tour he wins. I wonder if they will find a reason to keep him out next year, seems to be the even year system??

Anyway, top step is the same as 2007 after several weeks of great entertainment, and that is what it is after all...

Superfans from the Netherlands know how to... be superfans!

Tour down for another year.

No Surprise

I don't think anyone could call this a shocking news story...

The UCI Press Release:

Danilo Di Luca provisionally suspended

Earlier today, the UCI advised Italian rider Danilo Di Luca that he is provisionally suspended. The decision to provisionally suspend Mr Di Luca was made in response to a report from the WADA accredited laboratory in Paris indicating an Adverse Analytical Finding of Recombinant EPO (CERA) in blood samples collected from him at the Giro d’Italia on 20 May and 28 May 2009.

These adverse findings were a direct result of a targeted test programme conducted on Mr Di Luca using information from his biological passport’s blood profile, previous test results and his race schedule.

The provisional suspension of Mr Di Luca remains in force until a hearing panel convened by the Italian Cycling Federation determines whether he has indeed committed an anti-doping rule violation under Article 21 of the UCI Anti-Doping Rules.

Mr Di Luca has the right to request and attend the analyses of both his B samples.

Under the World Anti-Doping Code and the UCI Anti-Doping Rules, the UCI is unable to provide any additional information at this time.

In other news, Le Tour covered some cool ground in the past couple of days. Ground that I was lucky enough see early last year. Also happens to be the place that was the source of the horse sausage that I smuggled back in the country...

Back

This crazed look says take me hiking or I will maul you.

A little moto camping trip ensued last week; RMNP, Loveland Pass, Breck, another pass, Salida, Monarch Pass, Gunnison, Crested Butte, gravel road pass, Aspen, Independence Pass, Leadville, Copper, Loveland Pass... There were some more passes in there someplace...

Dales gets warm in the saddlebag, but nice and cold in the river.

Someplace in CO.

Le Tour

Looks like Tommy D isn't the only thing the Slipstream boys left behind in Boulder.

Might be caused by spending too much time up in Ned, but I think the Grateful Dead will be the official soundtrack of the tour this year, well at least the sprint stages.

Driving that train, high on cocaine,
Tommy Boonen is ready, watch your speed.
Trouble ahead, trouble behind,
And you know that notion just crossed my mind.

This old engine makes it on time,
Leaves Central Station 'bout a quarter to nine,
Hits River Junction at seventeen to,
At a quarter to ten you know it's travlin' again.

Driving that train, high on cocaine,
Tommy Boonen is ready, watch your speed.
Trouble ahead, trouble behind,
And you know that notion just crossed my mind.

Trouble ahead, Lady in red,
Take my advice you'd be better off dead.
Switchman's sleeping, train hundred and two is
On the wrong track and headed for you.

Driving that train, high on cocaine,
Trouble ahead, trouble behind,
And you know that notion just crossed my mind.

Trouble with you is the trouble with me,
Got two good eyes but you still don't see.
Come round the bend, you know it's the end,
The fireman screams and the engine just gleams...

Say what you want, but when they make it here:

I hope this is the result:
